Ken Thomas has been an avid basketball player, fan and coach for over 50 years starting with the JV squad at Miami Senior High School and continuing today to his running full court two to four days per week in a men’s basketball league at Miami Killian High School.

Ken founded and played in a men’s basketball league in Camden County, NJ from 1977 to 1987. He was the Basketball Coach at Miami’s Epiphany School for six years starting in 1987, and his team finished First Place in the Archdiocese of Miami All-Catholic Conference with a 15-0 perfect season in 1991. Ken helped organize a men’s basketball league in 1987 at Miami Palmetto High School which he ran and played in for over 25 years. He was the second highest scorer in 2009 in the South Florida Sports League with a 25 point average (although only for one game where he subbed!). Ken holds a Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania where he taught for over 40 years.
